Welcome to the second episode of Ready, Row! USA. In this episode, recorded Dec. 17, 2018, we had the honor of hosting Arshay Cooper of Row New York and Mark Wilson of the All American Rowing Camp for a recap of the US Rowing convention in San Diego, where they both gave presentations. Arshay outlined the status of the DEI programming at USRowing (under former CEO Patrick McNerny), reported on impact & innovations at Row New York, where he serves on the board of directors

After receiving positive feedback from his appearance with Ellen Minzner on the Ready, Row! USA premiere on Dec. 4, 2018. Mark outlined USRowing’s coastal rowing initiative and his Masters track talk, “The Boat, the Oars, and You” and his involvement with the newly formed Rowing Industry Trade Association (RITA). Mark’s focus is on on growing the sport and its relevance in the sporting world.

Our regular contributor Mark Wilson and his partner and co-founder Jim Dietz run the All-American Rowing Camp in DeLand, Florida. Camps consistently draw more than 100 enthusiastic rowers participate in sessions starting at the end of December and into March, when the coaches begin giving camps and clinics around the US. Depending on the course of the pandemic in 2021, AARC will announce the resumption of their international rowing travel “camps.”
