Matt Scheuritzel has over 16 years of rowing experience. He is currently the Executive Director of the Waco Rowing Center, an organization whose mission is to break down boundaries within the sport of rowing and allow access to the underserved communities with opportunities they would otherwise not receive.

After rowing at Cornell University from 2008-2012, Matt quickly rejoined the rowing industry and coached for seven years at The Haverford Boys School outside Philadelphia, one of the most medaled schools in scholastic history.

Matt also coached at The Conshohocken Rowing Center for the last seven years, managed and directed specific programming year- round, coached multiple national and international winning crews and helped send dozens of athletes on to row in college.

Luke Walton has over twenty years of experience in rowing, as both competitor and coach. Luke is currently the Owner and Head Coach of Rower Academy, an online coaching platform committed to building better student athletes as they prepare to be recruited to row in college. He was formerly Executive Director of the San Diego Crew Classic, one of the largest spring rowing regattas in North America.

Luke was a member of the US National Rowing Team from 1999-2003, and a member of the 2004 Olympic Rowing Team, in Athens, Greece. He was undefeated in his Collegiate rowing career at UC Berkeley 1998-2001, having never lost a heat, semi-final, or final en route to 4 straight PAC-10 and National Championship titles. Luke was recently selected to the PAC-12 All Century Rowing Team, an honor bestowed on a select group of top athletes from the past hundred years. He also studied and rowed at Cambridge University, competing in the Cambridge Oxford Boat Race (the world’s oldest and longest running collegiate competition) in both 2005 and 2006.

Luke is also a board member of Waco Rowing Center and Race Director of the Waco Rowing Regatta (premiere regatta Nov. 6, 2022).
